goal: be a clara for one night

Ummm can you say sexy??? Clara Bow (one of the inspirations for famous cartoon character, Betty Boop) always had this effortlessly seductive appeal to her. Perfectly trimmed eyebrows, heart shaped pout, and the baby doll eyes. Her look just gave the perfect combo of cute and sexy. She never worried about products for her hair, she just let it hang naturally. For the past year I have taken up on that myself, just letting my short wavy locks air dry as I head out the door. Clara always had this hora of confidence about her, catching the eyes of men and of course teasing a little as she walked by. So I have been determined to try out her tricks for myself. Go for it, wink those gorgeous eyes and pucker up those pre-lipsticked lips. Throw back the shoulders and be a Clara for a change. 

Molly Ringwald

One of my biggest inspirations is molly's 80's style. A couple of years ago I took my mothers advice and got one 2nd piercing in my left ear. Hey, who said they had to be symmetrical? And now I've realized the fun and edgy ways to play it up, rather than just settling with a small diamond stud. For instance, in Pretty in Pink some days for class she would keep it low key and have a couple hoops in and then one chandelier that has a similar style. Or when she goes out at night and puts in different glitzy chandelier earrings for each hole. Definitely trying that next time I go out, I'll call it "that 80's edge".

My current obessesion: cat eye glasses. The retro winged edge adds such a sexy appeal to an outfit. Wishing it were sunny everyday now, just to be able to show them off.

The always gorgeous, Audrey Hepburn. Currently hanging on the wall of my bedroom, a little daily reminder for myself to dress with confidence and class.

A new chapter

This post begins the starting point of a new adventure in my life. As a fashionista at heart this is a both riveting and exciting experience. Random fact: I am a dreamer. I have big dreams and goals for this blog. I hope that it will continue to progress and grow into an inspiration for others. I aim to post something new everyday if not multiple times a day. So here we go, the journey of beauty begins.
